Greenwich Hospital
Greenwich Hospital is a 174-bed nonprofit, community hospital located in Greenwich, Conn., serving residents of Fairfield County, Conn., and Westchester County, N.Y. Since its opening in 1903, Greenwich Hospital has evolved into a progressive teaching hospital and medical center and has an accredited three-year internal medicine residency program affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine.

Current service offerings include a wide range of adult, pediatric and newborn acute care services, as well as numerous outpatient, ambulatory and emergency care services.

Outpatient primary care sites include:

  • The Rye Walk-in Center, N.Y.
  • Greenwich Medical Associates of Mamaroneck, N.Y. (ob/gyn practice)
  • Greenwich Medical Associates of Darien, Conn. (ob/gyn practice)

Greenwich Hospital also offers several special programs, including:

  • The Bendheim Cancer Center
  • The Breast Center
  • Tender Beginnings (childbirth/child care educational programs, genetic counseling and Level Two neonatal ICU)
  • Center for Healthy Aging
  • Sleep Center

The hospital offers an extensive range of support groups and wellness and prevention programs through its community outreach arm, Greenwich Health at Greenwich Hospital.

Greenwich Hospital is about to complete a major, multi-year modernization project. Its state-of-the-art medical building, which opened in 1999, has a general/specialty surgery unit, orthopedic/neuroscience unit, women's/infant center, pediatric unit, medical/surgical intensive care unit, diagnostic center, ambulatory surgery unit, surgery center and emergency center. Construction on a new wing, the Olive and Thomas J. Watson Pavilion, is scheduled for completion in fall 2005. It will house additional inpatient rooms, an outpatient clinic and many other services, including physical therapy, addiction recovery, sleep center, and a geriatric program. The pavilion will also be home to conference facilities, a medical library and administrative offices.

Greenwich Physicians Association, Inc.
GPA is a physician-governed independent practice association (IPA) organized for the purpose of negotiating managed care contracts. GPA was developed in 1988 and today consists of approximately 131 physicians (55 medical practices) practicing primary care and specialty medicine in the Greenwich area.

Greenwich Hospital Hospice Services
Greenwich Hospital's Hospice Services is a Medicare-certified program for individuals who are terminally ill and their families. In addition to addressing physical needs, Hospice provides pastoral care, counseling by social workers and bereavement services for families after the death of a loved one. Its multidisciplinary team meets weekly to discuss needs of patients and families.
